Supper Clubs

Waukesha County is especially known for our many supper clubs, which are the embodiment of a nostalgic Wisconsin tradition. Spots like Didi's Supper Club, 5 O'Clock Club, the Butler Inn, Kurt's Steakhouse, and Palmer's Steakhouse offer classic Wisconsin cocktails like an Old Fashioned and Pink Squirrel alongside decadent relish trays and delicious surf and turf entrees, all in a cozy, retro setting. The Red Circle Inn, a supper club located in Nashotah, was founded in 1848 and is Wisconsin's oldest restaurant. Captain Fred Pabst, owner of the Pabst Brewery, gave the restaurant its current name when he purchased it in 1889. The red circle is a nod to the Pabst logo and is still used today.

Breweries

Wisconsin has always been synonymous with beer, and Waukesha County is no exception to that rule. Raised Grain Brewing Company's new craft brewery completed in 2018 has quickly become a prime gathering spot for the community. With more than a dozen beers on tap and a family (and dog!) friendly open-air terrace, the brewery is a year-round destination. Waukesha County parks even partner with Raised Grain to host rotating beer gardens throughout the summer, where you can cool off with a microbrew after your swim or hike.

Farmers Markets

If you are looking for farm-fresh produce, locally-raised meat, or unique bakery items, our local farmers markets are sure to impress. Most communities throughout the county have seasonal farmers markets, including:
