Village of Menomonee Falls

Menomonee Falls History

The Village was originally settled along the Menomonee River in the middle 19th century. With saw mills and lime kilns, and the river providing power for mills, the community began to grow. The adjacent “Four Corners” commercial district soon grew into a regional hub, and in 1892 the Village incorporated. During the 1950’s and 1960’s the area expanded rapidly, with one of the highest growth rates in the State. In 1958, the Village grew in area with the annexation of the Town of Menomonee. Today, at 33 square miles, Menomonee Falls has ample room to live, work and play.
